Azusa is a new student who joined the light music club and plays a Fender Mustang electric guitar but he also has a Gibson Les Paul Custom Golden 50th Anniversary of the top (as seen in episode 13). A self-proclaimed novice guitarist who has played guitar since fourth grade and whose parents worked in a jazz band. He was in the same year and class as the Ui and being quite mysterious. He often finds himself puzzled by the tea parties and cosplaying aspects of the club, when he'd rather just practicing and want to know about how the club is able to play very well despite their problems and lack of practice. However, he has a particular weakness for cakes and can rest more easily, sometimes just by being petted. He can be described in part as a tsundere. He continues to be embraced by Yui and Azu-nyan nicknamed after trying on a pair of cat ears and meowing. In the band, he looked up to Mio because the most mature and the fact that he is an experienced bassist. Since joining, Yui came to him for advice on playing the guitar, as well as maintenance.
